Clarification
this investigation is not in the hands of Bill Carters friend at the Attorney
General’s Office.
An acknowledgement to the complaint laid by Iwi members
was received by the Attorney General and Minister of Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations
Hon Christopher Finlayson on 2 May, 2011.
On 4 May 2011 writer of the complaint was interviewed by the Investigators appointed by the Attorney General in Wellington.
The timing of this is perfect, as with Damian Parata now being formally acknowledged as the co- claimant with Ani Parata on the WAI 88, 89 Treaty Claim for Waikanae Marae. Damian WAI 88-89A formal investigation has begun into all of the financial activities Paora Ropata JP, William Carter JP, Tutere/Ted Parata, Damian Parata, Darrin Parata, Kahu Parata-Ropata, Andre Parata-Baker, Jack Parata-Rikihana, Toka Parata-Graham, and Daniel Mullen.
Damian received as the sole Director of Tihei Ltd the majority of the 2005 Fisheries Treaty Claim settlement supposedly belonging to all Atiawa ki Whakarongotai members. This money was administered by a “private trust” refer Atiawa Trust AGM 2011 Report on Iwi Legally Registered Documents page
He also received a hefty chunk of the MoH-CCDHB money consumed with no financial accountability. To this day, an expenditure report of Tihei Ltd use of this money has not been given to Iwi members.
Damian is according to the AGM statement on film by Paora Ropata, “writing the business plan for Atiawa ki Whakarongotai companies and Trust.”
In preparation to receive Atiawa ki Whakarongotai share of
$40 million? not confirmed of the Inshore Fisheries Treaty Claim Settlement to be divided
between the Ngati Toa, Atiawa, and Raukawa.
The big secret being withheld from the majority of Atiawa ki Whakarongotai the supposed beneficiaries of this settlement … accept it is common knowledge amongst the other Iwi involved. Ngati Toa, Atiawa, and Raukawa do have a vibrant kumara vine on the coast.
This investigation will go back to the 2005 Fisheries Treaty
Claim settlement and may be further. No emotional
intervention by individual Iwi members will stop this investigation going back
to 2005. No one in the Iwi has control of this investigation
it is in the Attorney General and Minister of Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations
Hon Christopher Finlayson hands. This investigation would not have been
activated if solid evidence did not exist to back up allegations.
Damian and all the above-mentioned Kaumatua Directors
and individual shareholders are very responsible for the Atiawa beneficiary’s monies
that disappeared, with no accountability.
Why, the secret society of Damian and the Kaumatua Directors believe Iwi members would stand by and let it happen again with the Inshore Fisheries Settlement and pending Treaty Claim Settlement is beyond foolishness.
It is very
disrespectful to 1000’s of Ngatiawa ki Kapiti, whakapapa, intellect, and integrity. Not to mention the future generations that
will lose their inheritance again.
